SureFlap Vs PetPorte Smart Flap - which is best?
Since their introduction, both SureFlap and PetPorte have worked hard to eliminate initial shortcomings found by some owners in earlier versions of their products. Each manufacturer now offers an improved and reliable product that should give you no problems. Whilst the SureFlap is a generally a few pounds less to buy, that initial saving is soon wiped out by the cost of batteries and ongoing battery replacement. The Petporte also offers you an approx 20% larger door area and also extra features such as optional beep on entry and optional night mode (see main text for details). It also comes with a longer (3 year) warranty than the SureFlap. Both products are compatible with UK & European standard 15 digit microchips and the SureFlap is also compatible with some older style 9 & 10 digit microchips. You can check your cat's compatibility with the Petporte by using the link on our website.

It is recommended that it is connected to a suitable 13 amp mains supply for efficient operation.
