The PetPorte Smart Flap is operated by your cat's existing microchip so there is no need for
your cat to wear a collar to activate it. The flap is simple to operate, has a strong door and locking mechanism and features a magnetic latch and combined draught excluder to help keep bad weather at bay.
The PetPorte allows only your own cats to pass through, as it recognises your own cat's unique microchip and allows entry. Up to 31 cats can programed in to use the same
PetPorte.
With most road traffic accidents occurring at night there is the option of keeping your cat indoors during
the hours of darkness by using the 'night mode' option, which automatically detects light
levels. Similarly the 'vet mode' option allows entry into your house but not
out again.
The PetPorte is supplied with a 12v
DC 1.2w power supply that plugs directly into a 13 amp power
socket and a battery backup ensures the cat flap will continue to
operate during a power cut
(NB some of the flap's optional features will be deactivated when
running in battery mode). Your cat's microchips are remembered
in the event of a power failure due to the flap's intelligent
memory system.
Standard installations: The
standard 'door model' that we list below is suitable for both doors,
glass panels and walls up to 13cm/5.25" thick. Installations
above 52mm thickness will require tunnel extenders.
Important information for
installations into thicker walls (13cm/5.25 inches and above) : There are certain issues to
consider when fitting to walls thicker than 13cm/5.25" ie
cavity brick walls etc. Extending the tunnel on the standard door version
does not work as the chip reader porch is then too far away from
the PetPorte door for it to operate effectively. A special wall
mounted model is required for these applications but please be aware the wall mounted model is not
able to run on batteries neither does it have a battery back up
system in the event of a power cut.
Easy to fit: The PetPorte Smart Flap conveniently fits all common glass and door cat flap size openings (17cm square or 21cm diameter holes).
