What to look for when buying
a Dog Ramp
Experience has shown us that there are three
main qualities to look for.
1.
The longer the better - a shorter ramp means a steeper slope which
will make it difficult and off-putting for your dog to use, and
also the possibility of him slipping backwards.
2.
Strength & Stability - The more rigid the ramp is, the happier
your dog will be to use it. A folding ramp will bounce as your dog
walks on it because the centre of it is a weak point and will
result in unwanted flexing.
3.
Ease of use - Your ramp needs to be lightweight and easily to
manoeuvre.
The
Solvit Telescopic ramp scores very highly on all three counts,
being the longest, strongest and lightest available.
It's unrivaled rigidity is partly due to the overlaping top &
bottom sections midway along the ramp. (see pic on left)
Why should I choose the Telescopic Dog Ramp over a folding one?
Your
Dog will like it! - Having spent your money, you will want
your dog to actually use your new ramp! The ramp's ultra rigid design provides maximum stability and eliminates the 'spring board' effect
that can deter so many dogs from using hinged, fold flat ramps. The
specially formulated non-slip surface gives the best possible grip for wet
paws, in addition raised sidewalls provide even greater safety, these
features making it safe and reassuring, even for nervous dogs to
use.
And so simple for you - The telescopic design allows for effortless
use, simply rest it on the back of your vehicle and slide it
out! No awkward struggle required to fold & unfold a
cumbersome 6ft long ramp! The ramp automatically locks in extended or part extended position as soon as your pet steps on it. |
